I've been wanting to read this book for that very reason. I've heard from several former PCC-ers that it is a must read in light of our experiences there.
I'd love for you to write a few comparisons from your readings.

somehow i missed this post. anyway, i loved 1984 and yes so familiar. i'm convinced that if pcc had the technology for thought police, they totally would have done it.
